"You Told Me Your Lovin'" is an unreleased song written and produced by American singer-songwriter Michael Jackson intended for the Off the Wall album. Another version by his brother, American singer-songwriter Randy Jackson was also created, but ultimately met the same fate as his brother's recording.
Background[]
"You Told Me Your Lovin'" was registered with the U.S. Copyright Office in 1984. It was recorded in 1979 and doesn't credit anyone but Jackson.[1] A version by Michael's brother Randy, was registered with the same register system and was recorded in the same year. Interestingly, Randy's version was registered way earlier than Jackson's, and this version obviously credits him as the only writer and producer of his own version of "You Told Me Your Lovin'".[2]
