"You Rock My World" is a song by Michael Jackson released as the sixth track from the Invincible album. It was released as a single on August 22, 2001, serving as the lead single from the album. The track was written and produced by Rodney Jerkins and his team and recorded by the King of Pop in October 1999. It became the last major hit released by Jackson during his lifetime.

The track recieved a 13 minute short film, directed by Paul Hunter, filmed in August 13 to 21, 2001, Alongside Jackson, the video featured the Rush Hour actor, Chris Tucker as the main characters and also features appearances from Marlon Brando, Michael Madsen and Billy Drago. Two versions were released, the full short film and a 5 minute edit.

Behind the scenes of You Rock My World
The production of the "You Rock My World" short film was mixed. Jackson described behind the scenes as lots of fun.[1] However, as it's currently known, while filming, Michael was suggested by the director to remold his nose using prosthetics and to use makeup to darken his skin. After hearing the proposition, he run off to the bathroom, locked himself in it and started to break everything out of anger. A friend of Michael's, Frank Cascio came in to the bathroom to check on him. However, he found him sitting on the floor and cutting his hair off, crying. He was then told by the artist:

"You Rock My World" song has been performed during the 30th Anniversary Celebration shows at Madison Square Garden twice (with the first one having a reprise with everyone in the end). These were unfortunately the only performances of this song.
