"Why" is a song by 3T, released as the fourth single and the third track from their debut album, Brotherhood. The trio's uncle, Michael Jackson is featured on guest vocals.

"Why" was written by Babyface, with Jackson producing the track.[1] It was originally recorded in 1994, during sessions for the latter's HIStory: Past, Present and Future, Book I album in 1994, but was shelved as he felt it sounded too much like a Babyface track - he couldn't hear much of himself in it.[2] Jackson later decided to give it away to his nephews, who finished their version on September 9, 1995.

According to Taryll Jackson, Michael's original version is very unfinished, and only the backing vocals (as featured in the final version) were recorded on his version.[4]
