Unreleased Concept Album is a placeholder name for an unreleased studio album by American singer-songwriter Michael Jackson. The record was intended to be a concept album, with a theme dealing with "children, old people and starvation." The project was scrapped completely, due to unknown reasons.
Background[]
Jackson and his brothers dropped out of Motown in 1975, after experiencing a lack of freedom and creative input. They then moved to CBS/Epic Records, and later on, Jackson signed a solo contract as well. When discussing his first solo studio album under the label, Off the Wall, with record producer Quincy Jones, he insisted that it wouldn't share the sound of The Jacksons' music. Through the album's production, in early 1979, Jackson began developing an idea for a self-written and self-produced concept album, focusing on the themes of "children, old people and starvation."

Unfortunately, the entire project never saw the light of day. Its status, or even the songs, have stayed completely unknown. The only source of the album's existence became Jackson's January 12, 1980 interview with Billboard.
