Background[]
In 1998, Dr. Freeze, a producer known for having co-written hits such as "I Wanna Sex You Up", joined Michael Jackson's personnel, having met him through John McClain.[1]
"Twilight" was just one of the demos Freeze had presented to Jackson, others being such as "Blue Gangsta". It was the only time Jackson ever re-written and recorded a writer demo, as he did re-write it to "Break of Dawn", with the only thing reminiscent from the original demo being the chorus.
