"This Time Around" is a song written and produced by American singer-songwriter Michael Jackson, released as the ninteenth track (fourth on the second disc only) from the HIStory: Past, Present and Future, Book I double album. It was released as a promotional single in the United States on December 26, 1995. The Notorious B.I.G., who wrote the song with Jackson, is featured on a rap verse.

"This Time Around" details Jackson's problems dealing with being famous and false accusations. On his verse, Biggie compares he and Jackson's situations, sympathizing with the latter.[1]

Background[]

"This Time Around" was written and produced with Dallas Austin, Bruce Swedien and René Moore.[2] It was recorded in 1995.[3]

A remix by David Morales entitled "This Time Around (D.M. Radio Mix)" was released as the tenth track from the Blood on the Dance Floor: HIStory in the Mix album. It was made in 1997.
