The Verdict

"The Verdict" (originally titled "Verdict") is an unreleased song by Michael Jackson intended for the Dangerous album and later for his 1995 double album, HIStory: Past, Present and Future, Book I.

Background[]

The song was first worked on for the Dangerous album in 1990 with Bryan Loren, originally titled "Verdict". It was re-recorded in 1994 for HIStory: Past, Present and Future, Book I. The track ultimately didn't make the cut for both of the albums. It's currently unknown whether Jackson recorded his vocals for the track or not.

The 1994 incarnation of "The Verdict" was leaked online on January 27, 2023, after Brad Sundberg's laptop was stolen. The mix originates from May 10, 1994.
