"Thank You for Life" is an unreleased song written by American singer-songwriter Michael Jackson, intended for either the Music & Me, Forever, Michael, or Off the Wall albums.
Background[]
"Thank You for Life" was first publicly acknowledged by Jackson during his deposition in Mexico in November 1993.[1] According to him, he wrote it by himself, and said that it was originally worked on in 1973/1974. However, records from the U.S. Copyright Office indicate that it was recorded in 1976.[2]
Based on these timeframes, the song could have been intended for one of several projects, including Music & Me, Forever Michael, or Off the Wall.
