On January 31, 1993, Michael Jackson performed for the Super Bowl XXVII halftime show.[1] The show lasted around thirteen minutes and for the first time in the game's history, it increased Super Bowl's viewership between halves. The King of Pop getting to perform at the halftime show also helped with the sales of Dangerous.

Trivia[]
- In the beginning of the show, James Earl Jones introduces Jackson.
- The performance doesn't properly start for around two minites in. Until then, Jackson simply stands in place, silent as the crowds go wild.
- This wasn't the only time Jackson was set to perform at Super Bowl. As revealed by Jermaine Jackson, near the end of his life, Michael was in talks to perform for a second halftime show among other things. This sadly never came into fruition due to Michael's death in 2009.[2]
