"Shut Up and Dance" is an unreleased song by Michael Jackson intended for the scrapped eleventh studio album.
Background[]
"Shut Up and Dance" was registered with ASCAP, crediting Eric Kirkland only.[1] Michael worked on it in the 2000s, although reportedly never recorded any vocals for the song. According to Damien Shields, Michael Prince also co-wrote the song, and said that Kirkland only recorded the vocals, not Jackson.[2] Among other titles, it became a contender for Jackson's never-finished eleventh studio album.
