"Saturday Woman" is a unreleased song written and produced by American singer-songwriter Michael Jackson intended for the scrapped eleventh studio album.
Background[]
The title was first acknowledged by Frank Cascio in his book, My Friend Michael.
“ | Saturday Woman was one of the unreleased songs I loved the most, it was about a girl who wants attention and goes to parties instead of spending her time on her relationship. | ” |
–Frank Cascio, My Friend Michael[1] |
Cascio didn't specify the date of creation or which album the track was intended for.
On January 16, 2023 Damien Shields revealed on X, that more, unpublished "to-do" song lists were discovered in Jackson's house after his death. One of these lists featured "Saturday Woman", likely meaning that it was a contender for the then-upcoming eleventh album.[2]
Trivia[]
- Snippets of the track were supposedly leaked in January 2020 as two snippets, one HQ, other LQ.[3] However, it's unconfirmed if they're the real deal.
