"Rich Girl" is an unreleased song by American singer-songwriter Michael Jackson intended for his 1995 double album, HIStory: Past, Present and Future, Book I.

Background[]

"Rich Girl" was mentioned by Brad Buxer (the writter and producer of "Rich Girl" alongside Jackson) during the one hundredth episode of the MJCast in 2019, as one of the songs he and Jackson worked on throughout the years.^[1]

In June 2020, a Zoom call took place with Michael Prince and Buxer, where it was reportedly revealed, that "Rich Girl" was created between 1993-1994 for HIStory: Past, Present and Future, Book I, specifically around the time Jackson "got with" Lisa Marie Presley.
