One Day in Your Life is a compilation album by American singer-songwriter Michael Jackson, released through Motown on March 25, 1981. It consists of songs by him, as well as songs by The Jackson 5.[1]
One Day in Your Life was the first compilation album released in the 1980s, as well as being the first album by Jackson released in the 1980s. Most of the tracks are from Jackson's fourth studio album, Forever, Michael. The other songs were taken from albums by The Jackson 5 to pad the album's running time. Motown later admitted that the album was just a quick cash grab generated from the success of Jackson's Off the Wall.[2]
