"Neverland Landing" is an unreleased song written and produced by American singer-songwriter Michael Jackson intended to be featured in Steven Spielberg's Peter Pan musical.
Background[]
Michael wrote "Neverland Landing" with Buz Kohan in 1983 and recorded it in April of the same year for it to be featured in a Peter Pan musical, which was directed by Steven Spielberg. It ultimately didn't make the cut. According to Kohan, "Neverland Landing" is complete.
“ | We also wrote a song called 'Neverland Landing' which was done completely, and there is a demo with piano that I played at the house. I have it somewhere but can't put my hands on it immediately. | ” |
“Neverland Landing” was reworked by Jackson in 2009 with Brad Buxer, as it was registered by the U.S. Copyright Office in 2010 along with other pieces the duo worked on around that time.[2]
An MJJ Community fan heard a snippet of this song and described some of the lyrics. "Rainbow skies and crystal streams / Butterflies and [something] dreams."[3]
