Article content
Please keep the articles strictly related to ONLY OFFICIAL information regarding Michael Jackson. Any kind of fan-made content, or pages dedicated to fan-made content will be deleted (e.g. fan-made art, fan-made concerts, although if these are deleted you'll be kindly asked to post about it in Discussions or to make a Blog about it instead).
- Please note, that pages regarding any unconfirmed unreleased songs will also be removed. We do not want to cause confusion or spread misinformation.
- Please also refrain from making articles dedicated to any figures in the fan community. These are simply not needed, as the Wiki aims to only provide knowledge on Jackson and things surrounding him, not the fans.
- For all song articles, please refrain from making separate articles for lyrics. Instead, use the Scroll Box template in the main article. Also make sure to provide song structure indicators like [Verse], [Chorus] etc.
- When it comes to images, please remember to only provide high quality pictures.
Duplicate articles
Please refrain from making multiple articles (and especially lists) on basically the same topic. Instead, put it all in one article. If not abided, the copied articles will be deleted.
Removing content, trolling and vandalizing
Trolling, vandalizing or constant removing content from any articles will not be tolerated. If you keep on doing it repeatedly you'll be permanently blocked from editing articles.
Reverting edits
Reverting edits is tolerated, but please provide a reason for doing so. Repeatedly reverting already reverted edits by admins will result in blocking the user from further editing the specific page.
Templates
We insist on making sure to use templates (as well as links and references) when needed! We understand it might be a hassle to work with those, but it just helps the articles not look messy and keep the clean aesthetic.
Templates can be found through the editing tool bar on the top of the page while editing (Insert -> Template), or after typing this command in the preferred part of the article:

Categories
Please refrain from adding unnecessary categories to pages. We would like to keep the Wiki much cleaner than in years prior, and this just wouldn't do it. This includes:
Person article
- Gender based categories.
- Occupation based categories.
- Birthday based categories.
Song & album article
- Categories based on songs featured in tour set lists.
- Categories based on songs featured in a video game.
- Categories based on when the song was recorded.
- Categories based on years or eras outside of the one it was released in.
- This does not exactly apply to unreleased songs - articles for these should have categories for all the eras they were recorded in, but not years, as in most cases there's too many of those.
- Categories based on the Motown album eras. (Instead, put these in the Motown era category).
General
- Year, album or era categories that are NOT specifically associated with the article.
