On Friday, June 24, 2022, the Michael Jackson Estate filed a lawsuit against the American film producer, actor, and La Toya Jackson's ex-fiancé, Jeffré Phillips. He was accused of stealing property once owned by Michael Jackson.
Backstory[]
After Jackson died on June 25, 2009, Phillips had a nine-day stay at his mansion in Holmby Hills. There, he'd steal multiple CD's, DVD's, VHS'. Lyric sheets, handwritten notes, cameras, computers, hard drives, pajamas, and more, were once owned by Jackson.[1]
On October 4, 2023, the lawsuit was finally settled, with the stolen property being returned to Jackson's Estate.
