A part of the backing of Jam was reused for a level track for the video game [[Sonic the Hedgehog 3]] released on the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis which was released in 1994. The part of the backing track that was used was the trumpet segment heard playing in the song just before Heavy D's rap, and the lyric "Jam" as said by Heavy D in his rap, was also featured for the same level track for Sonic the Hedgehog 3.
