Jaafar Jeremiah Jackson is an American singer, dancer and an upcoming actor. He is the second youngest son of Jermaine Jackson. Jaafar is set to portray the role of his uncle Michael Jackson for Lionsgate’s upcoming biopic, Michael, directed by Antoine Fuqua.

In 2019, Jaafar began following the family tradition, and became a music artist himself. On June 28, 2019 Jackson released a latin pop song, titled "Got Me Singing". He had planned to release a full length album as well, but it was cancelled last minute.[2][3]
On February 14, 2024 a new song was uploaded to Jaafar's streaming services, titled "Rebirth of Michael". However, the track was removed shortly after, as it was revealed to be an old demo from 2016 titled "Universe (of Love)", and an unofficial upload. It is currently unknown how or who leaked it.[4]

Jaafar made his debut in The Jacksons: Next Generation - the Jackson family's 2015 reality television series.
Michael[]
On January 30, 2023 Jaafar was announced to portray the role of his uncle, Michael in an upcoming biopic movie, Michael. The artist has began rehearsing for the production in November of that year. The production for the film began in January 2024.

Controversy[]
In early March 2010, the LA County Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) launched an investigation at Hayvenhurst concerning one of the family members supposedly purchasing a stun gun to play with it alongside Michael's children. Jaafar was reported by TMZ as the one who bought the weapon, having played with it for three days. One of the sources even claimed the kids were caught playing with the stun gun while chasing the then-8 year old Bigi.[6]
According to Katherine's attorney Adam Streisand, "Jaafar ordered only one taser online, opened the package alone in the bathroom and tested it on a piece of paper." He added the security confiscated the taser as soon as they heard it, and neither of Michael's children ever saw it, with the exception of Prince.[6]
