"I Want You To Stay" (also known as "Cry") is a song by Marsha Ambrosius (of Floetry), released as the eighth track on her album, Late Nights & Early Mornings. It was initially intended for Michael Jackson.

Background[]

The track was written in 2009 with initial thought to submit it to Michael Jackson. He reportedly received it a few weeks before his passing but sadly never got to record it. On July 5, 2009, Ambrosius performed the song as a tribute to the King of Pop at the Jazz Cafe in London. Marsha finished the song by herself and released it in 2011.^[1]
