"Happy Birthday Lisa" is an unreleased song written by Michael Jackson intended for the Dangerous: Special Edition album. On December 5, 2007, the recording leaked online. ( listen)
Background[]
Michael came up with the idea of "Happy Birthday Lisa" and created it in 1991 during the late Dangerous recording sessions just by himself. The song was included on The Simpson's episode, Stark Raving Dad. In the show, it was a song written and performed by Bart Simpson and Leon Kompowsky (a character who believes he's The King of Pop). However, all the singing parts of the episode were performed by Kipp Lennon.
Lyrics[]
[Verse 1]
Lisa, it's your birthday
God blessed you this way
You gave me the gift of a little sister
And I'm proud of you today
[Chorus]
Lisa, it's your birthday
Happy birthday, Lisa
Lisa, it's your birthday
Happy birthday, Lisa
[Verse 2]
I wish you love and goodwill
I wish you praise and joy
I wish you better than your heart desires
And your first kiss from a boy
[Chorus]
Lisa, it's your birthday
Happy birthday, Lisa
Lisa, it's your birthday
Happy birthday, Lisa
[Bridge]
Oh, oh
Oh, oh
Oh, oh
Oh
[Chorus]
Lisa, it's your birthday
Happy birthday, Lisa
Lisa, it's your birthday
Happy birthday, Lisa
