Dancing the Dream is a book published by Michael Jackson, filled with his poems and reflections and released on June 18, 1992. It is the second book released under his name, after the 1988 book, Moonwalk. Although the book wasn't the biggest success, it was re-released on July 27, 2009 after the King of Pop passed away.

The book contains 46 poems and essays written by Jackson. Additionally, around 100 previously unseen photos of Michael are included.
Dancing the Dream is dedicated to Michael's mother, Katherine and has an intro written by Elizabeth Taylor.

- "Heal the World" and "WIll You Be There" are songs featured on the Dangerous album.
- "Planet Earth" was recorded for the Dangerous album in 1990 but was ultimately scrapped. The recording was released posthumously on the Michael Jackson's This Is It compilation.
- "Mother" was written with dedication to Michael's mother, Katherine Jackson.
- "Ryan White" is written with dedication to Michael's friend who passed away to AIDS in 1990.
