"Cry" is a song produced by American singer-songwriter Michael Jackson, released as the thirteenth track from the Invincible album. It was released as a single on December 5, 2001, serving as the second and final single from the album.

"Cry" was written and co-produced by R. Kelly.[1] It was recorded between 2000–2001 at The Hit Factory.[2][1]
Music video[]
The music video, directed by Nick Brandt, was filmed in six different locations, all of which were filmed in California. The video features people who were members of a real-life gospel group.
The video begins with people of different ages, ethnicities, and races holding hands. Long lines of people were stretched over mountains, across highways, in a forest, and on the beach. Everyone stands in silence for the majority of the video.[3]
