Britney Jean Spears is an American singer, often referred to as the "Princess of Pop". She was a friend of Michael Jackson throughout the 2000's and made several public appearances alongside the King of Pop.
Spears has publically stated before, that Michael was one of her biggest inspirations when younger.

30th Anniversary Celebration[]
During the 30th Anniversary Celebration concerts, Spears, in a green dress, performed on stage alongside Jackson to "The Way You Make Me Feel". Unlike Sheryl Crow, Britney got to sing live some of the vocal parts, including backing vocals.
2002 MTV Video Music Awards[]
During the MTV Video Music Awards on August 29, 2002, Spears presented the Best Pop Video award to Michael. During her speech, she named him "the artist of the millenium", due to which Jackson got confused and thought he's recieving a non-existent "Artist of the Millenium Award".
