Beyoncé Giselle Knowles-Carter is an American singer, songwriter and businesswoman, also known as "Queen Bey". Michael Jackson is known to had been both a friend and a fan of Knowles' work and got to meet her multiple times throughout the 2000's.
Ever since she entered the music industry, she has paid multiple tributes to the King of Pop. The first song she performed with Destiny's Child was Michael's "I Wanna Be Where You Are".
What More Can I Give
Michael invited Beyoncé in 2001 to work on the charity single, "What More Can I Give". Behind the scenes footage was released, which shows phone calls between Knowles and the King of Pop.
30th Anniversary Celebration
During both of the 30th Anniversary Celebration concerts, Beyoncé (alongside her group, Destiny's Child) performed "Bootylicious", which not only included Michael Jackson influences, but was Michael's favorite song by the group.[1]
2003 Radio Music Awards
On October 27, 2003 Giselle presented Michael with the Radio Music Awards’ Humanitarian Award.

2006 World Music Awards
On November 16, 2006 Beyoncé and Michael got to make another public appearance, this time at the 18th Annual World Music Awards. Queen B got to introduce the King of Pop to accept the Diamond Award. While thanking, Jackson told "I love you" to Beyoncé.

Knowles has paid multiple tributes to the King of Pop over the years. In a 2010 reissue of the Beyoncé: The Ultimate Performer DVD, she covered "I Want You Back" by the Jackson 5.[2]
I Am...World Tour
Beyoncé-Halo live (Tribute to Michael Jackson) -I Am.... World Tour DVD-
During some of Beyoncé's concerts on her I Am...World Tour between 2009 and 2010, Knowles paid tributes to Michael Jackson before singing "Halo". Additionally, a picture of Michael was shown on the screen behind her and the lyrics were changed to "Michael I can see your halo / I pray your music won't fade away".
One of these performances was included on the I Am...World Tour DVD. The concert featured took place at the O2 Arena in London, where Michael Jackson was originally going to perform at that time for his This Is It concert residency.
Before each of the performances, the screen would show a video of Knowles before going to one of Michael's concerts sometime in late 1980's/early 1990's.
Michael Forever – The Tribute Concert
During the Michael Forever – The Tribute Concert, Queen B performed "I Wanna Be Where You Are". This is a throwback to her first performance with Destiny's Child.[3]
Super Bowl 50 halftime show
While the Super Bowl 50 halftime show was headlined by Coldplay, the band was joined by special guests: Beyoncé, Bruno Mars and Mark Ronson. During the performance, Giselle wore a black leather military jacket with an X across the front, paying homage to Michael Jackson's outfit during his 1993 Super Bowl halftime show.[4]
Renaissance World Tour
During the Renaissance Tour in 2023, Beyoncé performed to mash-ups of "Break My Soul"/"Shake Your Body" and "Love On Top"/"I Want You Back".[5]
