Ask Rene

"Ask Rene" (also known as "Ask Rene 3") is an unreleased song by Michael Jackson intended for the Dangerous album and later for his 1995 double album, HIStory: Past, Present and Future, Book I.

Background[]

The instrumental track was initially recorded between 1989-1990 the Dangerous sessions and was later reworked in 1994 for HIStory: Past, Present and Future, Book I, it ultimately didn't make the final cut for any of the records. The title refers to René Moore, meaning "Ask Rene" is most definitely either a note or a working title.

It was later put up for auction in 2016 with other songs from the HIStory sessions, along with "Ask DD", "Family Thing", "Revenge", and "The Best Thing".
