"(I Can't Make It) Another Day" (originally titled "Another Day" and later titled "Storm" by Lenny Kravitz) is a previously unreleased song produced by American singer-songwriter Michael Jackson, released as the fifth track from the first posthumous album, Michael. Lenny Kravitz, who also was the writer of the track, and produced the song with Jackson, is featured on the track.
Background[]
"Another Day" was first recorded in 1999 during the Invincible sessions and continued production until the final year of the album's sessions. It unfortunately failed to make the final cut due to the crew thinking it was "too rock" for the album, despite Jackson's previous records featuring rock-driven songs (e.g., "Beat It", "Dirty Diana", "Give In to Me").
"Another Day" ultimately ended up on Kravitz's album, Baptism, being re-titled to "Storm" and featuring Jay-Z. However, Jackson still loved the song, calling Kravitz afterwards to discuss releasing it.[1] The idea, unfortunately, never came to fruition due to Jackson's passing.

After Jackson's passing, a 1:30 snippet of "Another Day" would leak online on January 2, 2010. 2 days later, Kravitz posted a video on his YouTube channel talking about the song, and that more info would arrive soon.[3]
"Another Day" would finally be released on December 10, 2010, on the posthumous album, Michael, with a few additional touches to the mixing done by Kravitz and the song being retitled to "(I Can't Make It) Another Day".
Dave Grohl credit[]
Nirvana ex-drummer Dave Grohl is credited as the drummer for "(I Can't Make It) Another Day"; however, he confirmed in November 2011 that he wasn't involved in recording process. Kravitz contacted him during the Invincible sessions to ask him about recording drum parts for the song, which he did, but neither Kravitz, Jackson, nor the latter's estate ever contacted him afterwards, and his contributions aren't featured in the final mix.[4]
